Product Description
This best-tasting nectarine combines the high sugar levels of white peaches and the zing of nectarines. The smooth-skinned fruits have tender, melt-in-your-mouth texture that you won't find in a grocery-store nectarine. Yumm Yumm Nectarine produces high yields of white-fleshed fruits that are perfect for fresh eating, baking, making jellies, jams and preserves, and canning. Fruits ripen in June. This self-pollinating tree exhibits excellent resistance to diseases, including bacterial spot. Zones 5-8. If you're short on growing space, try our Reachables size—smaller, more compact than a regular nectarine tree, with high yields of delicious full-sized fruit. Reachables are incredibly easy to manage. You don't even need a ladder for harvesting! Note: Reachables require tree support.

- Foliage:Medium green, long narrow leaves.
- Depth:Locate the planting depth indicator, the marked line above the tree's root system. The graft should be about 2 inches above the soil surface.
- Blooms:Mid Spring
- Yield: Standard: 2 - 5 bushels at maturity. Reachables: 3/4 - 1 bushel.
- Fruit: Medium - small fruit, mostly red skin with a small amount of white background color. Clingstone with white melting flesh. Approximately 800 chill hours below 45 degrees F required for fruit.
- Soil Preference: Loamy Soil, Sandy Soil
- Growth Rate: Medium growth rate.
- Pruning: Nectarine trees need to be pruned to optimize fruit production and allow sunlight into the tree. Most home gardeners do not prune their trees enough. Pruning encourages new growth and shapes the tree. Prune nectarines hard, removing most of the previous year's growth. Fruit will be produced on the previous year's wood, so leave enough to ensure a good crop, but not overburden the tree. Removing interior branches opens up the tree and allows light to penetrate to lower branches.
