Product Description
This extremely cold-hardy evergreen makes an impressive statement in the landscape-and when several are planted in a row, it creates an effective windbreak. Native to the northern United States and Canada, this evergreen conifer grows 40-60 feet tall. The White Spruce gets its name from its needles that acquire a waxy white bloom with age. The needles are pungently aromatic when crushed, and the tree produces cylindrical pale brown cones with flexible scales. The White Spruce is a low-maintenance tree that's easy to grow, and deer tend to pass it by. It performs best when grown in full sun and when it has plenty of air circulation. Zones 2-6
