Tasty Beef Hybrid Tomato has that delicious, old-fashioned tomato flavor with the ideal balance of sweetness and acidity. Plants are vigorous and exceptionally disease resistant. Scarlet-red fruit is perfectly round and about 4-8 ounces each. This tomato is wonderful for slicing, but also tasty canned or made into sauce. Indeterminate. Disease resistance: V FF. 75 days to maturity.

  • Foliage: Foliage color is medium green.
  • Depth: Plant seeds 1/4 inch deep. For plants, plant them deeper than in the pot. Plant them just below the first set of leaves.
  • Blooms: Early to mid- Summer.
  • Germination: 5-8 days.
  • Days to Maturity: 75 days from transplant.
  • Yield: Very productive.
  • Fruit: Big, beefy scarlet-red fruit weighing in at 12 - 16 oz, boasts that delicious old-time tomato flavor with the perfect balance of sweetness and acidity.
  • Soil Preference: Prefers well-drained, fertile soil, high in organic matter.
  • Growth Rate: Moderate growth rate.
  • Pruning: Prune by cutting out suckers (auxillary shoots between the stems and the leaves) to produce larger fruit. Fruit also ripens earlier since the sun can reach it more easily.
