The best all-around flavor
- Versatile and delicious
- Our flavor favorite
- Great for container gardening or in garden beds
- Delicious fresh, dried, or frozen
Incredibly versatile, Sweet Basil is wonderful for growing in a container on the windowsill or out in the garden! Harvest the leaves all summer long and eat fresh, dry or freeze for later use. Extremely popular in salads and vegetable dishes, fresh leaves also make a great addition to soups, pestos, and even summer cocktails. Plus, planting is easy with our handy 12" x 12" seed mats! Sweet Basil seeds are encased in biodegradable paper that protects the seeds during germination and dissolves in the course of watering. Simply place seed mat in the garden or in one of our Grow Tub® containers and water as usual. No more worries about over- or under-seeding! Annual. 85 days to maturity.
