Product Description

Slobolt is true to its name as the slowest lettuce variety to bolt. This means it won't prematurely grow flowering stems! This frilly, bright green heirloom lettuce grows in thick clusters and has a pleasant flavor that is never bitter. A great choice for summer planting and Southern gardens, this old favorite has been grown since 1946. Unlike many varieties of leafy green lettuce, Slobolt stays deliciously sweet even in warm weather. Plant in light, rich, sandy, moist, well-drained soil in full sunlight for the highest-quality crop. Enjoy it in summer salads for a delicious, refreshing dish! 45 days to maturity.
