Simple Green Beans

  • 1 to 1 ½ cups of freshly harvested green beans
  • Pepper to taste
  • ½ tbsp. butter
  • 1 tbsp. white wine (preferred variety)
  • 3- 4 freshly harvested saladette tomatoes (preferred variety)
  • 1 tsp. chopped parsley
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese


In a small baking or microwave dish, place green beans, butter, wine and pepper. Microwave for 3 minutes. Half tomatoes and place on top of the beans, cut side up. Microwave for 1 minute. Add parmesan and parsley on entire dish and microwave for an additional minute. Serve warm. Can be used as a side dish, snack or meal.
