Symptoms:
The most destructive of all tomato problems. Small brown spots appear on bottom leaves first. Leaves gradually turn yellow and die as the disease works its way up the plant. Premature death of vine significantly reduces tomato production.
Solutions:
If Septoria leaf spot has been a problem in the past, apply a copper soap when setting out plants, then reapply every 7-10 days. Apply more frequently if disease is increasing rapidly. Reapply after rain. We recommend Soap-Shield Flowable Liquid Copper Fungicide. Weed Barrier Mats (Heavy or Medium weight) also help by keeping fungi in the soil from splashing onto leaves during rains. Try a foliar spray of BioBoost™ All-Natural Foliar Fertilizer from the time plants are set out to improve plant growth. If possible, use drip irrigation to avoid wetting leaves.
