Product Description
This all-around great rhubarb grows reliably in both Northern and Southern gardens. Introducing Hardy Tarty, and excellent heat-tolerant rhubarb cultivar that thrives in hot climates, but also does quite well the cooler areas of the country. Beautifully red, thick stalks have a wonderful tart taste with no stringy texture that afflicts a lot of rhubarbs. Perfect for pies, jams, and many other delicious recipes. Paired with sweet summer strawberries, this classic combo will become a family favorite. The bolt-resistant plants are compact, reaching only 24-30 inches tall at maturity. As a perennial vegetable, Hardy Tarty can be harvested over a long period from spring to summer. Zones 3-8.
