Product Description

Growing rhubarb in the south has never been so easy! Hardy Tarty's tolerance for heat makes it the perfect choice for southern growers—it even comes back as a perennial plant. You'll enjoy your rhubarb harvest from late spring through the summer. Hardy Tarty yields pretty, red stalks that are large, firm and smooth. They grow 12-15 inches and have nice, non-stringy texture with very little fiber. The lemony-tart flavor is just right—not too sour—for delicious pies, tarts, jams and wines. Plants are compact, growing to just 24-30 inches and seldomly bolt. Bareroot. Zones 3-8.
