Product Description

Red Titan has a rich, sweet taste and was a flavor favorite in our trials. This very uniform, high-yielding hybrid has a fully erect growth habit and is highly tolerant of cercospora leaf spot and moderately tolerant to downy and powdery mildew. Its dark red, top-shaped roots have a high sugar content and terrific flavor with no zoning! When we learned Harrier seed was no longer available, our researchers planted and extensive beet trial looking for a suitable replacement. We were thrilled to find that Red Titan outperformed Harrier in all aspects. For the best, sweetest flavor and tenderness, harvest beets when they are 3" in diameter. Beet seeds germinate best when they are soaked in lukewarm water for about 24 hours before sowing. 60 days to maturity.
