Pythium Root Rot (Damping Off)

Pythium Root Rot (Damping Off)

Symptoms:

Yellowing, stunted growth, sudden seedling wilting (damping-off) and death. Can also kill seedlings before emergence. Pythium spores occur in the soil almost everywhere beans are grown.

Solution:

The beneficial fungus Trichoderma harzianum, included in some biofungicides, works to suppress root pathogens. Use as a soil drench on newly sown seeds, transplants and established plants. We recommend Root Guardian™ Biofungicide for Soilborne Diseases.
