This beet has the same great flavor, canning, and pickling qualities as Detroit Dark Red, but with more uniform color and shape. Each beet boasts a deep, rich red color throughout, with no rings or white streaks. Plus, our handy 12" x 12" seed mats make planting them easier than ever. Seeds are encased in biodegradable paper that protects the seeds during germination and dissolves in the course of watering. Simply place seed mat in the garden or in one of our Grow Tub® containers and water as usual. It helps you create a unique square-foot garden with no worries about over- or under-seeding! 60 days to maturity.
