Product Description
When you're trying to "eat the rainbow," look to your garden for inspiration. Red Baron Bunching Onion is a red-burgundy variety that's as colorful as it is tasty. While most red onions only develop their signature color in the bulb stage, Red Baron maintains its hue from scallion to harvest--and it does so regardless of the weather conditions. Enjoy these bright beauties as mild scallions in salads or TexMex dishes. Or wait until they reach small bulb stage and savor their zesty flavor on sandwiches, cooked in your favorite recipes, or even pickled. Sow onion seed as soon as soil can be worked in early spring. Sow new crops every two weeks for continual harvests. Can also be planted as fall crops. 65 days to maturity.
