Product Description
Give space to this productive fruit tree and you will enjoy large harvests of sweet, delicious berries in no time. Our hardy Mulberry is a fast-growing species that grows 25-40 feet tall with a generous 20 foot spread. Pretty, ½ inch berry blossoms cover the dark green, shiny foliage in May, with fruit appearing in late July. Mulberries are large, purple-black and very sweet. They make exceptional jelly and can be processed into a delicious wine, too. Mulberry trees are deciduous, so they lose their foliage in late fall. This is an excellent time to prune, if necessary. Plant two or more trees in full sun with well-drained soil for best results.
