McIntosh Apple

One of the most popular apple trees for northern growers, McIntosh Apple Tree produces high yields of red-skinned apples with a crisp, white flesh that is tart and spicy. It's a favorite for making into applesauce, cider and baked goods. The fruits cook up tender and juicy. Native to Canada, McIntosh is very cold hardy apple tree. Its fruits ripen in mid September. Recommended apple varieties for pollination are Pixie Crunch, Jonathan, Gala, Grimes, Goldrush, Liberty and Sundance. Zones 4-6.
