Lily of the Valley

A traditional favorite flower for bridal bouquets and floral displays, Lily of the Valley's sweet-smelling shower of tiny, bell-shaped flowers perfume the air. A vigorous ground cover plant for shaded areas, the perennial grows 6-12 inches tall and forms a fast-spreading carpet of graceful, 8-inch leaves. Lily of the Valley multiplies from underground stems and in some parts of the country is considered invasive. Deer tend to avoid. For best results, plant in full shade to partial shade. Zones 3-9.
