Product Description
When warm weather drives you away from the stove and onto the patio, fresh and light meals should definitely be on the menu. Ithaca Head Lettuce makes an excellent choice for crisp, cold, refreshing salads or for adding crunch to sandwiches and wraps. A superb iceberg type, Ithaca produces firm, tightly wrapped heads that are slow to form seed stalks. Heads stay crisp and delicious in the refrigerator, but we think your family will devour them as soon as they are harvested. They are just that tasty. Ithaca is a dependable, heat-tolerant variety that exhibits good resistance to tip burn and brown rib. It does very well in the South, too. 65 days to maturity.
