Tender asparagus resists rust fungus
Jersey Knight Hybrid Asparagus
Tender asparagus resists rust fungus
- Hardy asparagus that resists rust fungus
- Tender, sweet and delicious
- Spear tips stay tight past harvest
- Performs well even in clay soil
While this asparagus is hardy enough to perform well, even in clay soil, and to resist rust fungus, it's still tender, sweet, and delicious. These predominantly male plants produce little to no seed, which ensures two or three times the average yield of Jersey asparagus! The premium-quality spears grow up to 7-9" and up to .75" thick. While they're ready to harvest early in the season, the spear tips will stay tight for weeks to come. Whether steamed, sauteed, or chopped up in bright green spring salads, asparagus is one of the most antioxidant-rich veggies in your garden! Easily prep them from garden to table with our Asparagus Steamer. U.S. Patent No. 6624.
