Product Description
Extend the lilac season with this easy-to-grow lilac bush. The James Macfarlane Lilac blooms in late spring, about two weeks later than many other lilac varieties. Its large clusters of fragrant, pink flowers attract hummingbirds and butterflies and scent the spring air. The flower clusters are excellent for cutting and fresh flower arrangements. Like other lilacs, the James Macfarlane is a low-maintenance, deciduous shrub. It grows 8-10 ft. tall with a similar spread and is ideal for planting as a flowering hedge or privacy screen. Its green foliage also provides a nice backdrop for perennial beds. It grows best in full sun.

- Pruning: Prune regularly to promote health, provide air circulation, maintain a desirable shape, and to remove dead or damaged branches. Pruning is best done in late-winter to early spring for most trees and late-spring for spring blooming shrubs. When pruning, remove 1/3rd of the oldest branches by cutting at the base of the shrub. Monitor for pests, diseases or other ailments on a regular basis

In all cases, we choose the fastest, most efficient way to send your order--via the U.S. Postal Service or United Parcel Service. Large orders may be shipped in more than one package.
