Honey Jar Jujube

One of the best jujube varieties for fresh eating, Honey Jar Jujube produces medium-small fruits with thin skins and a sweet, apple-like flavor. While delicious for fresh eating, the fruits can also be dried. Honey Jar is one of the earliest ripening jujube varieties, and its fruits ripen in late summer. The easy-to-grow trees have shiny green leaves and are extremely hardy and heat resistant. They produce heavy yields, usually 3-5 years after planting. 150 chill hours required. Self-fertile. Zones 6-9.
