Green Velvet Boxwood Hedge

Well-placed evergreen shrubs are a great way to dress up a landscape. Green Velvet Boxwood, with its compact habit and glossy, green foliage, is a great choice for foundation plantings and low-growing hedges and privacy screens. Growing just 3-4 ft. tall with a similar spread, Green Velvet adds texture and color over the winter months. With a little pruning, you can create a formal look. Because deer and rabbits avoid nibbling on them, they tend to remain tidy and good looking. Green Velvet prefers slightly acidic to slightly alkaline soils and grows best when planted in full sun to partial shade. Zones 5-8.
