Product Description

Green Ice is easily the crispest loose leaf variety we know. The leaves are almost as crisp as head lettuce, but with better texture, flavor, and far superior nutritional content. Mounding plants reach 8" in diameter. Harvest the outer leaves and continue to harvest until the "real" summer heat causes bolting, meaning the plant will begin to produce flowering stems that divert nutrition from the lettuce. Its lime-mint color will bring bright, bold color to your garden. Be sure to plant on the surface of the soil without covering, since the seeds need light to germinate. 45 days to maturity.
