Golden Delicious Apple

Introduced more than 100 years ago, Golden Delicious Apple Tree remains a favorite fruit tree among home gardeners. The golden yellow fruits have a tangy-sweet flavor with a hint of spiciness and are delicious for fresh eating as well as cooking. Unlike many other apple trees, Golden Delicious is self-pollinating—and can be used for pollinating many other apple tree varieties including Gala, Pristine, Jonathan, GoldRush and Sweet Sixteen. The fruits ripen in mid September to early October. Zones 4-7.
