The disease-resistant king of pickles
Gherking Pickler Hybrid Cucumber
The disease-resistant king of pickles
- Our favorite cucumbers for pickling
- Disease resistant and very productive
- No pollinator necessary
Gherking Pickler cucumbers are resistant to downy and powdery mildew--two huge threats to cucumbers! Harvest the green, spiny fruits at 3-5" long, and pick regularly to encourage production. There's no pollinator necessary to keep these high-yielding cucumbers growing, guaranteeing well-formed fruits even when pollinator populations are low. Gherking Pickler is delicious for snacking with your favorite veggie dip, and for pickling with your favorite vinegar and spice mix. Cucumbers are low in calories, surprisingly filling, and contain lots of B vitamins. They also contain phytonutrients known to soothe irritated skin and reduce swelling. Plant in well-drained, sandy or loamy soil in full sunlight for best results. 55-60 days to maturity.
