Fusarium Root Rot (Peas)

Fusarium Root Rot (Peas)

Symptoms:

Darkening of stem at soil level, root decline and, as disease progresses, general loss of vigor, stunting of the plant and death of leaves. A serious disease of peas in all areas of the U.S.

Solutions:

The beneficial fungus Trichoderma harzianum, included in some biofungicides, works to suppress root pathogens. Use as a soil drench on seedlings, transplants and established plants. Avoid compacting the soil. We recommend Root Guardian Biofungicide for Soilborne Diseases.
