Product Description

These lima beans grow in a bush-type plant, with plump pods that house 3-5 light green seeds. Shell them into a bowl, then saute in stir fries or steam as a side dish. They're great for freezing and canning, too. Even during drought and extreme heat, Fordhook will produce bountiful crop yields all summer. Bush varieties of beans mature earlier than pole limas, and therefore do not need the support that pole limas do. Plant in rich, sandy, well-drained soil in full sunlight, and you'll see about 25 pounds of shelled beans per 100 foot row. 75 days to mature.
