Applying Fall Fertilizer for Grass

You should apply fall grass fertilizer in late summer or fall. The fall fertilizer encourages vigorous root development for better recovery after a cold winter. Contains no urea. The granulated formula is easy to apply. You should use the fall grass treatment with a broadcast spreader or drop spreader at the rate of 8-9 lbs per 1,000 sq ft.

• When to apply fall fertilizer?
  Apply fall fertilizer to your lawn anytime after July 15 in the northern section of the United States. In the southern areas, apply lawn fertilizer 8-12 weeks before the first heavy fall freeze.


• How late can you apply fall fertilizer?
  To get the most out of your fertilizer, apply fall fertilizer at least 6-8 weeks before the first fall frost date for your area.


• How to apply fall fertilizer?
  Apply fall lawn fertilizer with a broadcast spreader or drop spreader at the rate of 8-10 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft. After applying fertilizer, water the lawn with a hose or sprinkler to wash the material into the soil.
