Product Description
One of the easiest evergreen trees to grow, the Eastern Red Cedar provides year-round color and interest. A native to the eastern United States, this dense evergreen grows 30-65 ft. tall with a conical to columnar form. Its reddish-brown bark exfoliates, adding interest to the landscape. The Eastern Red Cedar tolerates a wide range of growing conditions, from dry to moist, and once established, is drought tolerant. The female trees produce berry-like cones that attract birds. This easy-to-grow tree is attractive planted in the landscape or grouped together to create a privacy screen. For best results, plant in full sun, and avoid planting near apple trees. Zones 2-9
