Want rich "wild" blueberry flavor? Growing to just 1 1/2 ft. tall, Dwarf Northsky yields 1-2 lbs. of small, scrumptious berries that ripen in July; perfect for containers! Adaptable; withstands winter temperatures as low as -45° F but also performs well in warmer areas. Zones 3-7. Potted.

  • Height: 1 1/2 feet
  • Spacing: 3 1/2 - 4 feet in rows 12 feet apart.
  • Zone: 3 - 7 (-40° F.).
  • Spread: 2 feet
  • Color: White blossoms.
  • Foliage: Large, waxy, deep green foliage. Turns dark red in the Fall.
  • Depth: Plant at the same depth as in the nursery.
  • Blooms: May
  • Yield: Approximately 1 to 2 pounds at maturity.
  • Fruit: Long loose clusters of small-medium, juicy, light-blue berries.
  • Soil Preference: Acidic, moist, organic, well-drained soil. pH should be 4.5 to 5.5.
  • Growth Rate: Moderate growth rate.
  • Pruning: Prune before new growth begins in the Spring. Prune off twiggy growth leaving main stems.
  • Form: Upright bush. Perennial.
  • Pollinator: Self pollinating.
