Product Description

A number one choice for food-scaping, these lovely red, orange and yellow flowers are a classic garden vegetable companion. Its flowers have a spicy flavor that make it a great garnish for soups and salads, or you can pick its seeds and then pickle them to enjoy a burst of briny saltiness similar to capers. Try making a pesto out of the leaves, or substituting for watercress. Also, a well-known magnet for aphids, nasturtiums serve as trap crops to keep cucumbers and other veggies safe from aphid infestations. It's extremely easy to grow, since it flourishes in soils where many other flowers would have difficulty. It works in dry, sandy, loamy soils in full sunlight. 55-60 days to maturity.
