Product Description

This tomato that holds the world record for heaviest tomato, coming in at a whopping 7 lbs! Your own tomato plants may not beat the record, but with Tomato Delicious, you might come close! Each plump, meaty, bright red fruit will weigh well over a pound. And it's not called "Delicious" for nothing--it truly is flavorful, juicy, and absolutely delicious. Use its big slices between your hamburger buns, layer it in omelets and quiches, or roll it into wraps. These tomatoes will store for weeks on the countertop, and resists cracking. Indeterminate plants produce huge yields. 77 days to maturity.

  • Fruit: Red, large, excellent flavor. Smooth, very little cracking. Almost solid meat with small seed cavity. Most over 1 pound, Many 2 - 3 lbs.
  • Soil Preference: Deep, rich, well-drained soil. pH 5.5-6.8.
  • Growth Rate: Will grow to full maturity and produce fruit in one growing season.
  • Pruning: Prune by cutting out suckers (auxillary shoots between the stems and the leaves) to produce larger fruit. Fruit also ripens earlier since the sun can reach it more easily.
  • Form: Vegetable, fruit, tomato, indeterminate. Heirloom
  • Flowers: Yellow flowers.
  • Seed Count: Approximately 75 seeds per packet.
