Cabbage Looper & Cabbage Worm

Cabbage Looper & Cabbage Worm

Description:

In most of the country, it is almost impossible to raise any cole crop (cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, kale, etc.) without controlling these green pests, which are 1 1/4 to 1 1/2" long. Presence of white or yellow butterflies signals start of infestation. Caterpillars can defoliate plants very quickly. Damage includes holes in leaves and green excrement.

Solutions:

Super-Light Insect Barriers block infestation. Trichogramma wasps control these cabbage pests by laying their eggs in, and destroying the eggs of, the adult pests. If these pests have hatched, use spinosad or a Bt-based product. We recommend Bull's-Eye™ Bioinsecticide or Green Step™ Caterpilar Control.
