In the spring, the leaves emerge a rich, emerald green, and turn a traffic-stopping red in the fall. The red leaves cling into winter, providing much-needed color weeks after other shrubs are bare. Corky bark with winged twigs provide visual interest all winter. The manageable shrub grows 4-6 ft. tall and rarely needs trimming. Plant as a hedge or a specimen plant.
