Product Description
This heirloom type has good, "old time" tomato flavor. Brandywine is an Amish variety that has been around since 1885 and is the standard for flavor for most tomato growers! It yields large, 1 to 1 ½-lb. boat-shaped beefsteak fruits with pink-red color and a rich, creamy aftertaste. Blooms, sets fruit and ripens until killed by frost. Indeterminate. 90 days to maturity.

- Spacing: 36-48 inches between plants and rows
- Zone: 3-9
- Spread: 24 - 36 inches.
- Depth:Plant seeds 1/4 inch deep. Transplant outdoors after any chance of frost is past. When transplanting, set the plant deep, up to the first true leaves, by digging a deep hole or trench. The stem will develop roots along it's length.
- Germination: 7 - 10 Days
- Days to Maturity: 90 Days
- Yield: 100 lbs. per 100 foot row.
- Fruit: Rosy-pink colored fruit. 1 - 1 1/2 lbs.
- Soil Preference: Loamy Soil, Sandy Soil
- Growth Rate: Moderate growth rate.
- Pruning: Prune by cutting out suckers (auxiliary shoots between the stems and the leaves) to produce larger fruit. Fruit also ripens earlier since the sun can reach it more easily.
- Form: Vegetable, Tomato, Heirloom Tomato
- Seed Count: Approximately 30 seeds per packet.
