Product Description

Extend the asparagus season with this early, vigorous, heat-resistant variety. Grande Asparagus is slow to fern out and become fibrous when temperatures exceed 70 degrees—making it an excellent choice for warmer climates. In the springtime, the asparagus plants produce large yields of tender, medium-large to large diameter green spears tinged with purple tips. Because Grande Asparagus exhibits excellent disease resistance, it's a good choice for organic gardening. Like other asparagus varieties, it's a long-lived perennial that produces tender spears for years. Zones 3-8
