Ambrosia ^™ Pear Tree

Offers an outstanding eating experience! The huge, golden-brown fruits have a sweet flavor and a smooth, grit-free texture. One of our favorite European pears, Ambrosia Pear Tree is a cross between a Honeysweet and a numbered tree. It often starts bearing fruits three years after planting—and reliably produces an annual crop. The tree is highly resistant to fire blight. Harvest fruits in mid to late August. Plant another pear variety for pollination. We recommend Bartlett, Duchess or Green Jade. 400 chill hours are required. Zones 5-8. PP16759.
