Beans

Green beans contain anti-inflammatory properties and powerful antioxidants with high levels of vitamins K, A and C.

Fun Fact

It's best to plant most beans from seed versus transplanting.

What is the best type of fertilizer for growing beans?

Garden Nurture Soil Inoculant boosts bean and pea yields with nitrogen-fixing bacteria that promotes stronger root systems and larger harvests.

Bean pests and diseases

During the summer season Mexican Bean Beetles require control in most areas. We recommend Bulls-Eye™ Bioinsecticide for these pests. Don't want to spray? Try planting a fall crop by sowing seed about 75 days before the first frost. Mexican Bean Beetles "hibernate" when day length shortens in the fall. You may still experience some damage shortly after emergence, but the beetles will be gone by the time the beans are beginning to form.
