This outstanding, well-shaped deciduous tree boasts chalky-white, exfoliating bark with glossy burgundy foliage. Sure to impress in all seasons, Royal Frost® Birch is also resistant to bronze birch borer. The gorgeous, glossy foliage turns shades of yellow, orange and red in fall, for a fiery show before dropping its leaves to reveal attractive bark. While it grows well in partially shaded locations, this birch will exhibit richer foliage color when planted in full sun. This vigorous grower prefers average to moist soil conditions. An application of organic mulch in its early years will help maintain soil moisture. Grows up to 30-40', with a 20-25' spread. Ships as an 18-24" bareroot tree. Zones 4-7. Betula ‘Royal Frost®’
