Treating Fire Blight
Several years ago our crabapple trees were stricken with Fire Blight. I started to researce how to theat this condition. I found that Flowable Copper Soap Shield was recomended for treating this condition. Since the trees already had Fire Blight I had to cut out the damaged branches, it was mostly on the new growth. After I removed these areas I treated the trees with Soap Shield and it settled down the first year. Now each spring I continue treat the trees as instructions prescribe. This has given me great results. I have had no trouble with Fire Blight since. Mike
soap makes a difference
We've used various sprays for several years including copper powder mixed with water. The copper definately works the best. In 09 we used the soap shield and and saw a big difference in how long the tomato plants stayed healthy. This year looks same as last so far. The plants look great going into the hot part of summer.
