With a flavor like they've been dipped in honey, these big, beautiful berries are our pick for plucking straight off the plant. Strong, vigorous canes have minimal thorns and produce hearty yields even in warmer climates. No. 1, 1-yr. plants. Zones 5-9. Nantahala cv. PP20689.

  • Depth: Plant at same depth as in shipping container. For a bareroot plant: Hold plant in hole, spread roots, plant crown 1" below soil; fill 1/2 way; compact soil; complete filling; compact soil; water well.

  • Comments: New primocane fruiting red raspberry released by North Carolina State University. Qualities are: late harvest season and large berry size. High- quality fruit can be harvested later into the fall with Nantahala than with other primocane fruiters on the market. In Cherokee 'Nantahala' means 'land of the midday sun'. Thorny canes- although just small spines at the base of the canes.
