Over the past few years I'm planted several varieties of blueberries, and Ka-Bluey is everyone's favorite. The plant also grows better than most.

My blueberry plant arrived March 21st, I planted right away in a big pot. The leaves started to grow very quickly. It is the beginning of May and I am starting to get blossoms already!. The other tophat blueberry I bought from another company did not produce any flowers last year, so I am very impressed. I cannot wait to taste the blueberries even if I just get a few this year.

I received my Ka Blueys in the Spring 0f 2009... Wonderful producer... sweet berries and beautiful in the Landscape. I use large 1/2 barrels for mine.

Great tasting berries! Very small when purchased and figured it wouldn't make it but thrived the second year with lots of berries. Keep up with pruning and acid pH. Have many varieties and Ka-Bluey, Toro and Jersey are the best tasting. Zone 6

Fantastic

I was nervous planting one of these, since it is not a commercially grown & researched variety. But in its second summer it is already producing a small handful of berries each day, and growing as fast as the other four varieties in my yard. At least this year, it bore delightfully early, a week before my Patriot (but we had very strange weather this Spring -- even my late-variety berries are forming a month ahead of schedule). And I hate to say it, but the marketing-speak is right: these are the most delicious blueberries in my garden, and beat everything at my local farmer's market. I expect to order more next spring. [Zone 6b, acid/clay soil amended with peat moss]

I planted the Ka-Bluey in a container last Spring and it did well all summer and fall, but was killed by the winter cold... I am in South Central Kansas, Zone 6.

I received mine in the Spring of '09 and it had green leaves and several blueberries on it. The blueberries didn't make it which I expected but, it did double in size by Fall. After an eastside, Cleveland winter it is now Spring '10 and my blueberry is still healthy top to bottom and bursting with buds. I hope to get to taste the blueberries this year!

I received this and the next day after planting and giving some water it was starting to look alive. Within 3 days it had small leaves starting to grow and the stem was changing to a green/purple color! I am very excited about the beginnings of growth!

Disenchanted

Wild blueberries grow in our area and have been gardening since I left the farm in the late 70's. I purchased a trio pack wondering which one would be best for my area and the Ka-Bluey was amongst them. None of the three survived that no matter what conditions I set up for them.
