Product Details

Bakers love the medium-size, sweet-tasting fruit produced by Jersey. Its rich blue berries are a perfect choice for tarts, muffins and coffee cakes. One of the most widely grown varieties, the bush grows 6-8' tall in a wide range of soil types, always producing heavy, reliable crops. Ripens in late July. Zones 3-8. Ships in a 3.5" pot.

  • Height: 4 - 5 feet.
  • Spacing: 5 feet.
  • Depth: Plant at the depth of the soil stain on the stem, or the same depth as planted in the pot.
  • Spread: 5 foot.
  • Sun/Shade: Full sun to partial shade.
  • Soil Preference: Acidic soils, can tolerate some moisture.
  • Pollinator: Should be planted with Earliblue, or Bluecrop for best pollination.
  • Yield: 7-10 pounds when plant is mature.

  • Comments: The leading mid-season berry in the US for fresh shipping, processing and home gardens. Jersey is a vigorous, fast growing high bush blueberry that has stood the test of time. Introduced in 1928. As with other blueberries, the ornamental features like, waxy, glossy dark green leaves, brilliant yellow fall color, and prominent yellow canes in the winter add to the value, and makes this an ideal plant to put in a mixed shrub border.
