IRON X! Selective Weed Killer for Lawns suppresses weeds quickly and effectively without killing your lawn. Dying weeds will turn black or brown within hours of application. People and pets can enter the treated area as soon as the spray dries. It even works in cold weather and is safe to use on new lawns, one week after grass emerges. Lawn areas may be re-sown within one day of treatment.

Mix 5 ounces of concentrate with 1 gallon of water. Apply the mixed solution with a sprayer at a rate of 1 gallon per 100 to 400 sq ft of lawn or spot treat with a hand sprayer. 16-ounce concentrate makes 3.125 gallons. There is no unpleasant odor and the solution is rain fast in 3 hours. Repeat treatment in 3 to 4 weeks for best results.

Great product
May 12, 2015  |  By Michael Ryan
Works really well, especially if the plant is thirsty. If you are able to cover the plant and then have 4-5 days of no rain that is best. Also, it kills dandelions on first application, but certain more hearty weeds need a second dose. This stuff even works on clover, which I find amazing. I have a tow behind sprayer, but using it in spot mode as opposed to broadcast mode works the best.

Works Great!

I mixed IronX just a little bit stronger than the directions, and found that it works great. Dandelions were dark the next day, then black and shriveled the second day. Amazing! Covering the whole plant seems to be key.

It Works

My lawn had become infested with little broad-leaf weeds. Last fall I applied Iron-X. In two days the little buggers turned black. I then weed-wacked them down to the dirt. This spring they are completely gone.

mix stronger than directions say

When I mixed Iron X! as directed it had not effect on broadleaf weeds. So, I mixed it by increasing concentration of product 10X. It killed the weeds in about 12-16 hours, but not detrimental to lawn. It even wasted several morning glories.

Spring weeds erased

The dandelions were rampant as well as other weeds emerging in early spring. Iron-X works great as long as you follow the directions - even coverage on and around the weeds. I am comforted to know the wildlife and pets are safe in our yard. I wish the containers were larger and sized so that 5 oz / gallon used an entire bottle (the containers are opaque).

Applied an application of Iron X waited 1 week and applied a second application. Weeds are still thriving.
