The best beets I have grown
Oct 22, 2013  |  By Rhetta Jack
After having poor germination and poor thriving problems with other beet varieties such as Detroit, Bulls blood, etc., I ordered the Harrier beet seeds. The germination rate was very good and one bed lasted us all season, with giant tender beets that looked like wooden pool balls, but never got woody like others. Leftover small beets also would grow big once more room came near them. The greens were large and very good also. Loved them, will order again.
