| Sun/Shade: Grows well in sun or shade Comments: Northern Turf Brand blend of hardy perennial greases is suited for the extreme temperatures common in the northern tier of the continental United States. With Northern Turf, you will have a beautiful, fine-bladed lawn that will endure tough northern winters, and thrive spring-to-fall. It includes a dwarf-type perennial ryegrass, a dwarf-type bluegrass (derived from a variety discovered in Iceland), and a low-growing hard fescue. Northern Turf: Grows well in sun or shade! May require less fertilizer. With deep-roots, Northern Turf grass holds up well in heat and drought. Less mowing work for you. It’s a blend of grasses that have a slower growth rate. Naturally resists diseases. Fertilization: Do not fertilize until after the first mowing. (Tender sprouts can be affected by rapid biological activity). Because this blend needs less feeding than other grasses, apply Lawns Alive! organic lawn food at 2/3 the normal rate. |
