Our special blend of winter rye and hairy vetch does everything you want a fall-to-spring cover crop to do! The rye sprouts and grows quickly to provide good erosion control. It also tends to suppress germination of many annual weeds. The hairy vetch adds valuable nitrogen to the soil and attracts beneficial insects. The blend is especially pretty in the spring garden when the vetch climbs up the tall rye stems to show off its pretty flowers. Sow 2 1/2 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft. 1 1/2 lbs.
