When eaten raw, garlic has a pungent flavor and
chewy, dense texture. Roasting tempers its taste,
caramelizing its natural sugars and creating soft
centers in each of its cloves. It couldn’t be easier:
just cut the top portion of the garlic bulb so some
of the garlic cloves are exposed. Place the garlic in
the baker, drizzle some olive oil to coat, and add a
bit of salt and pepper to taste. Bake at 375°F covered,
for an hour. When done, uncover and scoop
out the creamy mixture to use as a natural garlic
spread on bread. The possibilities are endless.
The two-piece, hand-painted, stoneware
design is perfectly shaped to roast a whole
head of the aromatic bulb. And the cover, with
its easy-grab, decorative handle, keeps whatever
you choose to roast from drying out while cooking.
You can even store garlic in the Garlic Baker,
too—in the refrigerator or on the kitchen counter.
