Non-woven geotextile fabric is dense enough to block the light that many weed seeds need to germinate, but unlike plastic mulches, it lets in moisture and air, so soil can breathe naturally. Simply lay mat between rows or punch holes in it to plant transplants. You can walk on it without tearing it when it’s used on garden rows or under pathways.

Medium-Weight Mat Standard-weight, all-purpose fabric is great for permanent installations, under bark mulch or pebbles, around trees or in shrub beds or garden paths. Guaranteed for 3 years but will last much longer under mulch.

Heavy-Weight Mat This is the mat we use in our own Gardens Alive! plots and trial beds, so we don’t have to spend valuable time pulling out weeds. Guaranteed for 5 years.
