Giant Red Passion Flower is known for its large 5" blooms with rich red petals and dramatically striped purple and white filaments. These exotic climbing vines are spectacular as they make their way across arbors, trellises and fences, climbing from 35 – 50' in a single growing season. Plant in full sun to partial shade. The fruit produced from these beautiful flowers are the largest of any Passion Flower variety. Huge melon-like fruits, up to 12" long, can be eaten unripe and green as a vegetable or when fully ripe, the flesh can be eaten or used like papaya.
