Long panicles of lightly scented, white clusters give this tree the appearance of fringe in early to midsummer. This 12-20' tree, with its upright, spreading form provides a shady retreat all summer long under its arching branches. Our variety was selected for its blue-black, grape-like clusters that mature in the fall and add a bunch of rich color to the landscape. Grows best when planted in full sun, but tolerates part shade. Ships as a 2-3' bareroot plant. Chionanthus virginicus Zones: 3-9 Height: 12-20' Bloom Time: Early to Midsummer.
