Symptoms:
Entire
root system is
affected. Brown discoloration
is obvious
at the base of
the stem. Disease
progresses slowly
from bottom to top,
sometimes causing
wilting. Disease is
widespread in tomato-growing regions.
Solutions:
Use Trichoderma harzianum as a soil
drench to suppress root pathogens on newly sown
seeds, transplants and established plants. We recommend
Root Guardian Biofungicide for
Soilborne Diseases. Maintaining soil pH at 6.5 to
7.0 helps. Test soil pH; if it is too acid, use Quik-Cal
Pelletized Calcium to raise pH. Follow up with
foliar sprays of a harpin protein-based product
every 7-10 days. We recommend Green Guard™
Plant Growth Enhancer.
